This is Me: Creative Portrait Making - Sunday 16 August

1.15-5pm

Aged 10-13? Feeling creative? Come and make a unique mixed-media portrait on canvas by layering a magazine-style template with your favourite photo. Inspired by the latest exhibitions at The Box you'll get the chance to use a blend of acrylic paints, markers, and magazine cut-outs to transform an image into a powerful statement of identity - an artwork you can take home and be proud of.

This special workshop will be led by artist Azza Gasim from Big Sis CIC. Following the workshop Big Sis will give a presentation and launch a new creative activity pack for young people, which all participants and their families are welcome to attend.

About Big Sis CIC
Pre-puberty and puberty are crucial times in a young person' s life that need to be supported! Plymouth-based Big Sis CIC is dedicated to improving the well-being of adolescents, focusing on girls and non-binary individuals during puberty and pre-puberty. This period can be particularly challenging, marked by physical, emotional, and social changes.
