Join our popular weekly art sessions for little ones and their grown-ups. Whether you're a returning visitor or trying our book-as-you-go sessions for the first time, we'd love to welcome you.

Inspired by The Box's exhibitions, collections and galleries, these playful, hands-on sessions encourage creativity, curiosity and exploration in a fun and supportive environment.

What to expect each week

• Sensory adventures - from songs and storytelling to colourful, hands-on activities designed to engage young minds.
• Creative play - plenty of opportunities to explore, make and discover through art (and yes, things may get a little messy, so dress accordingly!).
• A friendly welcome - our experienced facilitator and learning team create sessions that families describe as "happy, inclusive" and "really well run and planned".
• Gallery-inspired activities - with themes drawn from our exhibitions, collections and the world around us.

These sessions are as much for grown-ups as they are for children. Parents, grandparents and carers often tell us they enjoy the opportunity to connect with others while sharing a creative experience with their little one.

Bringing children of different ages?

If you're bringing children of different ages, please book the session that matches the age of the older child. We'll ensure activities are suitable for younger siblings too. Please email TheBoxLearning@plymouth.gov.uk in advance to let us know.
