Christmas Movie Night Tasting Event - Friday 4 December

Step into the world of Christmas cinema for a unique festive dining experience at The Box.
Following previously sold-out tasting events, this special evening features a six-course menu inspired by some of the most iconic and most-loved Christmas films ever made. From the playful nostalgia of Elf and Home Alone, through the darker worlds of Die Hard and The Nightmare Before Christmas, to the warmth and generosity of The Muppet Christmas Carol, each course brings a different story to the table through flavour, colour and craft.
Rather than recreating food seen on screen, each dish has been carefully researched and developed to capture something recognisable about its film, whether a memorable moment, a character, a visual theme or the feeling it evokes at Christmas.
The experience extends beyond the menu. Throughout the evening, local community choir Blokes Who Sing will perform songs connected to the films, adding another layer of storytelling and filling The Box with the sound of Christmas.
Expect creative cooking, familiar flavours presented in unexpected ways, live music, plenty of nostalgia and a few surprises along the way.

Please note, most dishes have a vegetarian version; the dessert is completely vegan. We cannot fully commit to making everything gluten free.

Blokes Who Sing is a Plymouth-based male voice choir known for its uplifting performances, inclusive ethos and diverse repertoire spanning folk, contemporary music, musical theatre and popular classics. Founded in 2020, the choir brings men together through music, friendship and community.
