Volunteers' Week: Behind The Scenes at The Box - Thursday 5 June

There's a whole other world behind some of the doors at The Box and a lot more to see besides our galleries and exhibitions!

Join members of the archives team for a fascinating glimpse of life behind the scenes in our research room, basement and stores. This is a chance to learn more about how we manage and protect our collections and why, in creating The Box, it was so important to bring Plymouth’s most historically significant archives together under one roof.

This Volunteers' Week, The Box has have joined forces with partners from across the city to create a series of thank you activities, just for volunteers! Whether you gift your time running errands for your neighbour, spend time at your local community centre serving tea or trek the moors surveying birds, these thank yous are for you. No volunteering is too small or too brief; you are amazing, and Plymouth appreciates all that you do.
